This 1901-S Barber Half hopped into my cart earlier while browsing ebay cheap/low grade big silver listings (select Composition: silver, max price: $25 to $30, or $10 to $15 if you don't want Morgans/Peace, then select Dollars or Halves, and have fun!) I'm on the fence about this one -- I want to say G4 but the reverse holds me back a bit ... what does CCF think? Definitely not "junk" at least to me. Seller photos. The wear into the reverse legends IMHO holds this one back to AG03.

Paralyse too much reverse wear it's close to good but it sits at ag3. I believe I have a solid G4/6 if interested.

My first impression was G-04. Although the reverse is closer to AG-03, the obverse carries the day in my opinion.

I'd say this has a good chance of making it into a G-04 holder. Nice coin!

Only the top part of the reverse's rim and the Eagle's face looks AG-3 to me; everything else looks G-4.
G-4 for me.

I think the reverse carries to AGO3.
But I would grade it G04
