Alas, under further investigation, the photos do not match up with you are actually getting for your money.

You'd be lucky if it was worth half of opening price.

Always scroll all the way down the listing when they show you a huge lot of coins. In this case your getting a lot less than $28 worth of coins. a very legal scheming.

A new concept in marketing!
What you see is what you won't get.

Fluffy gold flakes are not a good substitute for half eagles IMO.

Below is the value of the coins if the seller provided quality coins un-cleaned and not damaged per seller description. 10 Buff Nickels $5.00 10 State Quarters $2.50 Mercury dime $1.00 Foreign Coins .50 cents Memorial Cents .50 cents War Nickel .25 cents Modern Proof Coin .25 cents 10 Jefferson nickels $1.00 1927 S Lincoln $2.00 1928 S Lincoln $2.00 Large Gold Vial: Priceless Total Value: $15.00 The seller can make an easy profit of $10 per sale and still deliver coins that would make buyer's happy.

The picture is misleading with the silver certificates, flying eagles, and certified coins. Otherwise, assuming someone has read the description and understands what they are getting, as a pre-kitted retail-type set that someone could give as a gift, it's not half bad if its packaged decently enough. Just think of the overage someone is paying is the service fee for amassing and packing these coins. It's not a rip-off IMO. I can't knock someone for repackaging something and doubling their money, as every dealer that buys at 50% of catalog is doing the same thing. If we are jealous that someone figured out a way to get more money than others or we feel his margins are too much, go calculate the profit margins of certain toy and cosmetic companies that often get 10-20x their costs as their purchase price and you'll really be feeling like you got the short end of the stick! :) Needs to change the picture though.

DON'T ever fall for these "estate lots" They abound, priced between $10 to $70 Each one says it's better than its competitors Each one features "gold" (ie. gold flake vials worth $.10 each) Each one has a grandiose picture of lots of scattered valuable coins among more common coins Each one promises your lot is priced at wholesale Each one will rip off at least half your money.
