Interesting Seated Dime Fake/Counterfeit - Lead

CGCoins Pillar of the Community United States 797 Posts	Posted 10/13/2015 3:12 pm Picked this up recent for $2 for curiosity value. It looks like a contemporary counterfeit 1888 S Seated dime. Core is lead, with a copper plating, and very feint traces of silver plating ontop of that. Report this Post to the Staff

westernsky Pillar of the Community United States 7617 Posts	Posted 10/13/2015 4:51 pm In the 6th grade at West Ward Elementary school in Mckinney, Texas in 1960 our teacher was collecting lunch money and some kid tried to pass off a lead Walking Liberty half dollar.
