I have the e-pluribus Unum on my 1993 cent that looks odd in shape of the lettering. What are your thoughts with this font.

I don't think it's a DDR. The "dots" look round when they would be distorted on a DDR.

The second U in unum would throw me too. Idk what would cause that to make one side skinny and the other large?

When the images are taken too close, it makes nothing see like something. So I would rather see images the size of 1/2 of the EPU size. The other devices 3-5 devices per image.
Too close is too close.

The glare is probably covering what you want to show. Diffuse the light and try taking the image at a different angle.

It may just be reflection, but to me the dot after E appears distorted East/West and the middle bar of E appears to have a split serif.

Hi folks,

I did a check of the listed 1993 DEOs and they all seemed to have the wavy steps with the EPU trails. But I suspect that the EPU could be affected without impacting the steps. BJ may be able to confirm our suspicions or perhaps set us on a different...trail.

Edward,
Those last three pics are new of the original coin? The dots look distorted and I see no trails.
OcalaFlorida,
Are your pics of Eds coin? Dot's look distorted as well but there is glare on all the pics making it hard for me to tell for sure.

I see no trails and the dots appear round in some images and elongated in others. Could be the ones that appear elongated are due to shadows or glare. This coin is just covered with tiny plating blisters, thousands of them and I think it adds to the confusion.
