I am thinking some might be getting tired of seeing piles of Ike's
But I can't stop myself from buying more.

I started out buying as many 40% Ike's as I can, to hopefully
fill a monster box someday. (monster box is 500 coins)
I do have a few rolls, but it is hard breaking some of them
out of them when they are in good grades. And some do look good
in the OGP.

Today I picked up 29 more, 15 proofs and 14 UNC's. The proofs were
not in boxes, but I did have three spare boxes here at home, so
I put the 1973's and one of the nicer 1972's in boxes.

The coins come from a collection that was stored in a attic, so some
of them are not in the best of shape. For these Ike's I will break
open the milky ones and put them in tubes. I think it is cool having
complete rolls of 40% Ike's. (about $100 in silver per roll)

Does anyone have some pros/cons about breaking Ike's out of OGP?

Oh there was also four Commemorative dollars I did not have, the OGP
was not great, but did get them for around melt.

Same here, GR58. I've been on an Ike buying spree for a little while now. Eventually, I will get back to buying those Morgans and Buffalo nickels that I need for my sets. Currently, though, buying Ikes is what I'm doing for enjoyment. I like searching ebay for Ike lot auctions that are close to ending, with the hope of nabbing them on the cheap. It hasn't really happened yet, but the hunting is very much enjoyable.

So far, I've opened every one that I own, with the exception of the 6 I recently acquired in a trade. They'll be cracked out eventually. I guess the only con I can think of in regards to the proof packaging is the space they take up when they start piling up. Which dates are included in the lot? If you don't mind me asking, what price did you pay for the lot?

By the way, I'll NEVER get tired of seeing piles of Ikes. Nope.

I think if I could afford it, I would cover a wall with proof Ikes in OGP

There are a couple with some light toning.

I might have to find a Littleton album to put some of these
in, to see if I can get some better toners.
