Im a new collector and have ordered from them before..The prices are fair, IMHO, I understand a company, like all others, has to sell for a profit to stay afloat. I am interested to hear from other members of the forum on this

True. I'm looking to buy them so that I have something that will increase in value. Have you bought these coins? The economy looks to be going downhill, so I always look for ways to convert money into something that will only rise in value.

They mint so many of these coins. I would go with some other type of coin if you were into that sort of thing. I collect for the thrill of the hunt not the profit, well, maybe the profit of my great great great grandchild

State Quarters will never increase in value just based on the market saturation. I do collect them but just because I have OCD and feel that I have to have them. Littleton has ridiculous prices, but they are honest. Their coins will be what they say they are and I have found a few nice ones there. Some of their introductory packages will be worth the cost but don't buy anything else without checking the current market pricing. They will take anything back during the approval time period so there is minimal risk. I don't mean to sound completely negative about them because I do think they are one of the better of their type of companies. Hope this helps. Jim

I receive their magazine ONLY for the coin collecting supplies. They have everything in there. I can't get airtites at my local coin shop or hobby shops, so needed an outlet for that. They've been around a long time yes, and I'm sure they're trustworthy, but the prices are just too high for "everything" .........DRASTICALLY too high (for most of their products). I like to look through the magazine at the interesting stuff of course, but just wouldn't ever buy a coin from them.....even dealer shops aren't that high probably. They certainly are making a wonderful living off of people who do buy from them........and hey ......that's okay with me.....that's Capitolism right ? I wish I owned stock in the company ! If people like the products that they put out and can afford them and wish to buy them and think it's an okay deal........nothing wrong with that. You can get "goodies" from all kinds of places, I would just say to investigate and educate........

WECOME TO THE FORUM. As already noted the State Quarters will basically never be worth anything but a novelty. Similar to the Bicentennial Quarters. You would be much better off just going to banks, buying rolls of quarters, putting the best ones in an album. Eventually you may have to find others that hoard them and get some of the ones from them you can not get in change. All sell at coin shows for very little. As to Littleton. They are known to be very high in prices. They have a habit of sending you coins and it is your problem to return them if you don't want them. Once they start doing that it is difficult to stop them. their Albums are in my opinion horrible. Only had a few that were given to me free and I in turn gave them away. Just junk and that too overpriced. As noted everything they sell is overpriced. Best keep away. The brighter side is they have been known to give you what they say they have. In other words if you order a VF-20 coin, that is what you get. However, way, way over priced.

Been there, done that! Yes, the prices are too high. The coins sent "on approval", generally are too worn to be of any value, ,(other than hole fillers). The coins you order, I the higher grades are pretty good, but maybe a bit ovef gaded. I like their way of doing business, but the prices could come down, and the gedaes given dropped at least one number. Dick

Littleton: I was a member more than 10 years ago in my earlier collecting days. I think their prices were way too high and some of the coins I got from them were heavily polished (like a 45 Mercury dime and 37 Buffalo nickel). Most of the stuff they sent me, I sent back. After a couple of months of me not buying anything, they stopped sending stuff to me. It was a good experience, because of the hassle-free part of it, but high prices and some coins being heavily cleaned turned me off.

The only time I order from Littleton, is when I need coin supplies. When it comes to their coins and sets, they are a bit over priced. I am always pleased when I order supplies from them.
