Anyone have any experience with J&M coins? They seem to have a sizeable inventory but no photos of the coins. Just wondering if people have had a good experience, easy returns, or anything like that.

I have never dealt with them personally, but they are the most reputable dealer in the Metro Vancouver area.

I ordered raw coins there when I first wanted to re-start my 1c collection. They were self graded by them and delivered in mylar flips and I think its great for someone who just wants one from each date but if you want to buy colelction grade (MS-64/MS-65's) just purchase the ICCS/PCGS ones, IMO they are a better overall value.
The people at J&M are also great to work with as I inquired and bought some OBW's from them with no issues.

I have a few coins from them and never had a problem with the coin sent to me. I feel the grade was correct that they said it was. I would buy from them again.

I use them when something new that comes out but is not yet posted on the site. Just call them, especially for circulation coins in pliofilm 10 packs, etc! Their shipping rates are comparable to Colonial Acres and are poilte and courteous!

I would suggest getting in contact with SPP-Ottawa (on this forum), he has a huge inventory, great service and I was really happy with my purchases, filled in a major part of missing 1968+ coins.
I have used J&M as well, good experience, but noe prefer SPP.

Since I live in Vancouver, J and M is my go to store. They have more inventory than anyone else locally. I get along well with the staff. If you call ahead, they will pre-pick what you are looking for, bring out several options of each coin, and let you choose from there.
One time I accidentally bought something I already had, and the return for a full refund was easy. You can return anything within 2 weeks of purchase.
There are other people as nice to deal with in Vancouver, but J and M has the most inventory, and they'll hunt around with other dealers for hard to find coins for me.
I give them a thumbs up.

I did a mail order two years ago when I was getting back into coin collecting. Spent $180 on 17 coins - so nothing too expensive. I was happy with all coins. I now buy more through ebay as I think it is somewhat less expensive and I am now buying higher end items - but if you don't want the hassle of bidding and want to get a bunch of stuff all at once; I would not hesitate on J and M again.

I have dealt with JandM and I stop in when in the area, I like Chantou better as I have found I have a better chance at haggling prices on my purchases.

I have only dealt with Joe (owner of J & M) at coin shows - he has always been polite and professional. He tends to remain fairly quiet, until he gets to know you... but a great dealer in my opinion.

The Chantou website seems to be lacking and since I am not a resident of the area I prefer JandM for online sales

I've been to both the one at Metrotown mall and their main store. Metro town had better service but a lot less selection and they will refer you to the main store for a better selection. I found the one salesman at the main store to be a bit of a snob. I went there with a buddy to buy some silver dollars for my collection, I was in a T shirt and my buddy had a shirt with a collar. I stood at the counter waiting (no one else in the store) the guy was doing paper work, he finally finished gets up and walks right buy me and down the counter to ask my buddy who doesn't collect coins if he wanted help. My buddy says no thanks and the guy walks by me and goes back to his paper work. Another salesman comes by a few minutes later and helps me out and I buy $300 in silver dollars. So if you go there make sure you don't wear a "t" shirt if you want service
