Up for discussion is a 1965 Washington quarter which I rescued from a bank roll. The quarter weighs in at 5.43g.
There is no clad on the coin. There is an abundance of patina on the obverse and reverse. The coin does not right, it feels like a big penny. The diameter of this coin is the same as a regular 1965 quarter. Any thoughts?

You can clearly see the patina on both the obverse and reverse.

And the reed compared to a normal 1965 quarter

So there you have it. Ideas?

It was probably a metal detector find and then recirculated.
