Just got word that the Mint will not offer the 2015 Limited Edition Silver Proof Set on Nov. 23 as was previously stated on the Mint's product schedule.
They state an on sale date has yet to be determined.

Yippee. I will be skipping this overpriced set regardless of when it is released.

How about adding a reverse proof silver Eagle? Or a reverse proof commemorative silver dollar?

Or both?

What they should do is sell the empty cases to anyone who buys both an eagle proof and a silver proof set for $5.

Still not interested, since I break apart proof sets anyway.

I'm hoping that they kill the 2014 set early, making it the "key". Then I'll sell my 2012 -2014 sets as a group. Takes up too much room.

I hope they don't add anything unique to the set and would be just fine with it if they eliminated it.

The 2014 set has been on sale considerably longer than the previous sets with no chance of selling out. If the mint is paying attention, they'll cancel the 2015 set. Worst thing they could do is release it for $125, which is about the most it should be.

I just don't "get" this set. Same everyday proof coins in a different box for a lot more $'s. Doesn't make sense to me.
