To be fair, when it was released in 2012, it was only slightly overpriced. Then when both the eagle and silver proof sets got typical $5 reductions, this set only got $5 reductions instead of $10. Happened a couple times making it way overpriced.

still TBD.
I'd be happy, too, if this set were discontinued.

I would be neither happy nor sad. I really do not care about it.

Quote: Yippee. I will be skipping this overpriced set regardless of when it is released. I have never been interested in this set. It's existence is to gouge money from your wallet.

May be they will terminate this series. Good for the hobby!

The 2015 Mint release schedule has been revamped to show all releases with a release date, and the '15 LESPS disappeared off the list. So I think it's safe to say hasta to this particular product offering. They were an elegrant if overpriced way to buy and display only the .900 silver proofs with the .999 ASE proof.

The new product schedule has a drop-down to select year, and "TBD" is one of the options. If you select "TBD", you'll see that the 2015 LESPS is there.

It used to be on the 2015 schedule as TBD. Looks like they haven't loaded the 2016 schedule yet, but I bet it will be TBD on there too.

Well, it started off TBD, then actually had a 2015 date for a while, then went back to TBD.

If this set was priced right, it would be a really good idea.
I would love to, only have to buy the full clad set and then just buy this silver set ...if the price was right.
Right now to fill all my albums I have to buy the full clad proof set and full silver proof set. And end up with duplicates of Lincoln, Jefferson, Sac and the presidents.
This set would have been a good way to avoid buying duplicates, but because of price, it is still cheaper to buy the duplicates.

Since when has buying duplicates ever stopped you, GR58?

MNB is reporting a press release from the Mint today identifying items to be taken off sale at 12N EST on Weds, Dec. 30th. A side note made mention that the 2015 LESPS won't be issued at all because it contains a proof ASE. Currently looking for the press link.

The press release mentions that all products containing ASEs are coming off of sale on the 30th. Since the LESPS won't be issued by then, they decided to cancel the product altogether. Has something to do with the anniversary ASEs next year, and that's how the Mint interpreted the authorizing legislation for the edge lettered ASEs. Go figure.
