A-What's-It?
A-What's-It?
Came in a bulk bag buy, About the size of a quarter, looks and has the feel of silver.Has a nice new patina. Currently can't find my test kit.
Has the appearance to me of being a home made copy of something. Either fantasy, or ancient I have no interest or knowledge in either area. Any body see anything similar?

I would be shocked if this wasn't made by hand. Trying to figure out what is on the reverse... is that a book?

Under close exam with loupe it appears to be made from a wax pattern and what they called lost wax casting which is investment casting now a days.
I have no idea what that is supposed to be, and under magnification doesn't help.

If you rotate the second picture about 45° clockwise, then it looks like a chinese character ?

Rotate it about 100 degrees anticlockwise and it becomes a crude skull, or maybe some kind of monster/alien head; I'm guessing that was the effect they were aiming for.
