If you could buy the Bald Eagle 3 coin Proof set from the Mint for $370.00 plus S&H (which you can)....... would you sell it on ebay for $800.00 if you could ? (some are going for that already!) Knowing that at one per household, you won't be able to have one for yourself and supposing that they sell out and you could only ever pay a higher premium to buy another one later ? How many would (or intend to !) sell it as soon as they could if they could more than double their money ? Just curious ! Also...... How many of you already ordered one successfully ? And what do you intend to do with it ?

Personally, I would rather put my money in older Type coins. But if I was to get one, I would flip it while the hype was high.

Dump it. The set won't see those prices again for a long time down the road.

So far EVERYONE would sell it ? ..........hmmmmm Is there anyone who collects Moderns and has or wants this set ? I have mine ordered and I'm not selling it for at least 30 years ! But I think it's just a beautiful set that I want in my collection. So far, it seems I'm in the minority !! Jeeeez ! Anybody on my side here ?

I'd probably do it, but I wouldn't feel very good about myself afterwards.

Mine is on order. I am planning on keeping it in my collection. I did not order it to sell it.

That's the way I'm doing it.......If I could have ordered two....I'd have kept one and looked to selling one in the future. But I have to have one for me !

I ordered one of the 3 pc sets as well and I plan on keeping it ! I'll be only one of 25,000 people lucky enough to own one. I tried to get through to the mint the day they went on sale (redial, redial, redial !) and didn't get through to a live person till 2.5 hours later ! I also ordered 2 of the $5 gold proof coins and 1 uncirc $5 gold coins....but like I've said ... Eyeluvcoins !
Have a great day !

All the coins in the set are available seperatly for a total lower price. You are paying $25 for the packaging. Dump the set at a profit and buy the coins for your collection. You do collect coins, right?

Sell and put it toward a 09-S VDB. You will be way ahead of the game.

I ordered the other day...I got through the first time I tried calling and only waited for about 4-5 minutes on hold!
Mine will more than likely be sold and I won't feel evenly slightly guilty about it.

I got through to the US Mint in less than a minute this morning. Mine will ship FedEx for only $4.95 S&H.
The $5 gold piece is interesting. It's a 1/4 ounce piece, not 1/10 ounce like the Gold American Eagle $5 piece. Any ideas why this is not a $10 commemorative gold piece?

Since there's NO LIMIT on the number of gold coins being minted......I bet they follow the rising gold market with their prices too....... Later in the year the same coin or set will go up to reflect market/profit ! I like gold ! And I'm just glad I'll have mine early. I don't want to "bust the set" or put together my own individually......I want "that" one ! And I want it in U.S. Mint packaging which i'll happily pay extra for. (makes it worth more like that too in some cases) Maybe my great grandchildren will appreciate that too I hope. Personal preferances I guess........
