Found this in a collection of old flips. Very unique coloration in the planchet, more evident on the obverse--streaks of green and orange. The streak above the date is a metallic purple. Streaks in the upper left quadrant of the reverse are also metallic purple--see where the streak crosses the C in Cent.
The appearance of a phantom D is influenced by a minor stain coming out of the base of the 4. I turned the coin under strong light to observe from other angles--under a loupe. No D that I can detect...same for the B.
