Hi there, Just a question about an important US Banknotes & Scripophily heritage from my father (approximatively 200/300 items) Large & Small Size, Blue & Red Seal, Silver, Gold, ... Obsolete, Confederate, Continental, ... Did you know a real serious client or auction house for this collection ? The prices receipt for the moment by professionals seem very low... Thanks *** Edited by Staff to clarify topic title. Titles are important! ***Edited by marccollection 12/02/2015 09:00 am

If the notes as a whole do not reach a certain minimum price, major auction houses sometimes won't deal with the collection. Some options for auction houses would include Heritage, Lyn Knight, Manifest Auctions, and Stacks Bowers.

WheatBack, Thank you for your answer,
I have sending requests but I don't know what is the best solution, thinking to leave my country for 2016.
This heritage collection is important with good items.

You need to take GOOD pictures of all the items, and send those pictures to the auctions houses. Without those, they won't know what you have for sure, and will not devote much time to it.

How about just ebay if the notes are some what rare, some pics here there are many good currency collectors here. Good luck, you must spend some time to maxiumize returns.

Hey John, I have an ebay account, yes, but French (.FR) and I don't know if I can post ads here... Yes, I try to keep time, find references on websites, with also my heritage books, ... but it's not always easy for me.

I think we'll need some better pictures - try close-ups of individual notes that you believe have merit.

In that pic, based on what I can see, the Highland New York National bank note, the $2 Battleship, the $1 Black Eagle Silver Certificates and the large gold certificates are your best large size notes. You have a lot of good material that is ebay worthy, but not major auction house material. The small stuff appears to be mostly generic stuff but there could be something hiding that is worth good money. Will need better pics to tell.

Thank you for your answer :)
Yes, I will make better pics, I wanted to show you all (the 1/4), have also Obsolete, Confederate, Continental, Military payments & Scripophily + 300/400 World Paper Money.
Few months ago, a "professional" bought me the Fractional Currency section for a bad price, a big mistake :(
Now I have documentations & Krause Books.
