Just got this in and want oppinions as to authenticity before I send it in for grading. Weight is right and there is a rotation on the reverse like most 16 d's. Opinions?

Next time you should ask before buying. There are 4 die pairings for the 16-d. 2 of them have re-punched MMs. I am not seeing this here. The D looks alrght to me,I am no expert though. We will wait for them to chime in.

Agreed, real coin IMO, rotation looks good, mint mark is correctly shaped and oriented. Those two scratches on the fasces look pretty heavy and would probably details-grade the coin.

How much did you pay for this coin? That is a good dime to buy since the price really starts to jump up after VG grade if that is what it turns out to be. Mercury dimes are nice to collect since the 16-D is about the only one that is expensive. I always wonder if it is economically best to buy the key date coins in as good a condition as you can get, or to just complete your set given a budget etc.? With the Mercury dime the jump between F and VF is a big jump. Is it worth it?

Came Back Good 6. Little disappointed with the grade, but at least it is real!

Sweet!! Yes, it appeared to be authentic from the pics.
A VG from them would have been a bit better but I would take a nice G-6 any day for my collection...which only holds a raw AG-3.

Problem-free G6 is probably better than VG Detail - Scratched. I suspect they net-graded for the scratches since details look pretty solid for VG. Nice coin regardless!
