Couple of the tricks with iphone photos...I use black felt to cover the back of the phone to cut down on glare from phone cover.
Phone elevated on a fixed stand (stack of books works well).
Zoom some, look at your screen for the detail you need.
Save as a 1 meg or higher resolution photo.
Download, then manipulate with your favorite photo program.

I'd say VF-35 to EF-40 with the reverse being a lot sharper than the obverse.
