I picked up $15 in nickels from 2 different banks. I got 1 1945 War Nickel, 2 1940, 2 1941, 1948 and a couple of fifties. I may take a road trip tomorrow to cash in some halves for next week's box and get some more nickels in the process.

Picked up another $40 in rolls today and I got a 1958 - only 18 million minted. That's one of the lowest mintages I've found yet. I also had a couple of 1940s and fifties. No silver this time though.

Also in the box that I found the liberty I found a 39s, a 29 buffalo, and a War Nickel, I don't remember which year though, and it wasn't worth taking a picture of. but here's some pics

The V nickel is much, much more shiny in hand, but atleast this gives you an idea of condition.
I did another 3 boxes yesterday, but it seems like I'm back to normal; 0 silver, 0 buffalo, and maybe 2 dozen pre 60 ,but all common dates. oh well, it was fun while lasted

Actually it is just total luck. I have a feeling that this box was put together about the same time as the other box I got the Liberties in. There are probably more out there around here; I'd love to find them!

It should be noted that each update I do involves two boxes. Seven of the Liberty nickels came from one box, the eighth from the other one.

XoG,

I just read your half dollar box thread.

I'd trade 10 of the best nickel boxes I have ever searched for that box!!
