They had a Crown in 1959; that's the only mention I can find of any pre 1970 Bermuda coin.

Just finished searching $500 worth (5 fed boxes) this week and found a decent number of pre-60's however not a single silver or buffalo. This befuddles me as it seems everyone else is averaging about one silver per box and I cant even find one in 5 boxes searched.. Is this just bad luck or should I not be searching fed boxes or what? Any insight will be helpful, thanks

Probably just averages coming into play. They will work out in the long run as you will end up with 3 in one box and 2 in another box etc. etc.

Yep,I see at least one 64 in just about every roll. I think the most I have had in a single roll was 8.

Yeah, 10% is a reasonable estimate of the number of 64's I get in rolls. Almost always 2 in a roll, often 4-6. Maybe not quite an average of 4 per roll, maybe 2-3.

It's not surprising when you consider that the 1964 mintage accounts for a staggering 6.4% of all Jefferson's ever coined.

Prior to 1964 .... the 1962-D Jefferson had the highest individual mintage at 280 million coins ...... the combined 1964 mintage was 2.816 BILLION coins.

Alas ..... I still find a lot of them!

Well that explains why I have found so many 64's. Out of 100 rolls last week I found enough 64 nickels to make nearly 4 rolls! No silver but quite a few 40's and 50's.
