Thanks for the update CND ...... you are for sure the 'leader of the pack' in nickel roll searching. I just passed through 104,000 coins (2600 rolls) ..... and my tag line is as follows ... AND STILL NO 38P! David

Another Update! Significant in that there were a LOT in one of the two boxes, but nothing as far as key dates were concerned. 100 rolls 106 pre-1959 BREAKDOWN: 1935(Buffalo),(2)1938,(5)1939,(6)1940,(3)1940d,(9)1941,(2)1941d,(2)1941s,(2)1942,1942S(silver),(10)1946,1946d,(2)1947,1947s,(3)1948,1948d,1949d,1950,1951,(2)1951d,(5)1952,1952s,(2)1953,(3)1953d,1954,(6)1954d,(3)1954s,(3)1955d,(2)1956,(3)1956d,1957,(8)1957d,1958,(11)1958d GRAND TOTALS TO DATE: 11700 rolls 5081 pre 1959 (5 most common: 1958d(492),1957d(400),1941(360),1940(341),1946(295) 175 Silver Nickels (3 most common: 1943P(44),1945P(32),1944P(30)) 22 Liberty nickels (1901,(2)1902,(2)1903,1904,(3)1906,(3)1907,1908,(3)1909,1910,(3)1911,1912,1912d) 48 Buffalo nickels ((16)dateless,1918,1919,(3)1920,1920d,1924,(4)1927,1928,1928s,(3)1929,1929s,(5)1935,(6)1936,1936d,(2)1937,1938d) 16 Proof (1961,1963,1964,1970s,1971s,(2)1974s,(2)1986s,1987s,1988s,1993s,1994s,2003s,(2)2007s) 4 1990d NO FS Designer Initials 1 Henning Counterfeit (1939) 1 Australia 5 cents (1982) 6 Bermuda 5 cents (1970,1986,1987,1996,2000,2001) 14 Bahamas 5 cents (1981,1987,(3)1998,(5)2000,(3)2004,2005) 4 Belgium 1 Franc (1958,1963,1969,1975) 1 Brazil 5 Centavos (1994) 1 Cayman Islands 10 Cents (2002) 1 Dominican Republic 5 Centavos (1987) 1 East Caribbean States 2 Cents (2002) 2 Germany 50 Pfennig (1972,1985) 1 Italy 20 Centimes (1941) 1 Latvia 1 Lats (1992) 1 Mexico 50 Centavos (1993) 1 Norway 1 Kroner (1997) 1 Saudi Arabia 10 Halala (date unknown) 1 Somalia 5 Shillings (2000) 6 Switzerland 20 Rappen (1943,1960,1969,(3)1970) 1 Taiwan 1 Yuan (1983) 1 Tanzania 50 Senti (1990) 1 Thailand 1 Baht (2004) 1 Cincinnati Ohio Transit Token 1 Namco Amusement Token AND STILL NO 2009!

Keep those results comin' CND, I always enjoy reading what you find and know many others do as well. Also, nice pull of 106 out of your last two boxes. Although too bad only one buff and one silver came out of it, still very nice.
Strange box for me today... Contained 23 pre-1960's which is a little below average for me, however, the big surprise was the two proofs I found. Until now I had only found two out of 1,950 rolls (78,000 coins) but this last box (50 rolls) contained two as well which doubled my total number of finds! By the way the two proofs are a 1957 and a 1977S, both are older than my other two (1980S and 2005S Bison), however they are in better shape...

Indeed ... you found a lot of keepers CND but not up to the normal standards of 'special' coins. I'll take that 42-S in my next box however. I've found only three (3) proofs through 106,000 coins (2650 rolls) .... 1964, 2001 and 2005-Bison. Keep on searching _22_ .... we will both complete the collection someday. David

Another Update! Not nearly as much quantity-wise as the last update, but the quality went up a notch for sure! 100 rolls 42 pre-1959 BREAKDOWN: 1939,1940d,(4)1941,(2)1941d,1941s,(2)1942,1942S(silver),1943P(silver),1944P(silver),1945P(silver),(4)1946,(2)1947,1949,(3)1949d,1949s,1952d,1953d,(4)1954d,(2)1955d,(2)1956d,(2)1957,(3)1957d,1958d 1 Ecuador 5 Centavos (2000) Plus, a 1996p with a nice Base of Bust Cud! 2 of my three nickel Cuds have been base of bust. I think it is harder to see by quality control personel, its much easier to see a big blob cutting off half of jeffersons face than a raised part of the design that isn't to prominant. -XoG

Most recent 100 rolls (2 boxes) have been good to me .... 64 total finds 1959 and prior 5 War Silver (43P, 43S and 44Px3) 2 Buffalo (1926 and another No Date) 2 'Key' Jefferson (49-S and 51-S) 3 significant upgrades (39P-AU, 40P-XF and the 51S-VF+) And of course my first ever 1938P. I'm now at 107,600 coins searched (2690 rolls) .... and enjoying every minute of the treasure hunt to complete my circulation strike collection. David
