May sound like a weird question, but what does a coin bag look like? I've never CRHed before, but from what I've heard, they sound like they have 2x the amount of money of a coin box.

A coin bag is a heavy duty plastic sealable bag with a handle.
They hold 200$ in nickels, 50$ in cents, and 1000$ in quarters dimes and halves

Is it a slug...no! 1887 V nickel. Heavily worn but a fun find for this morning.

If you really have the time (and cash), and want to look through the "mini" dollar coins, check out the Mint's "bulk" section. The bag carries 140,000 dollar coins, you pay over $10,000.00 for the Mint to bag them for you, and you have to go to the Mint (Philly or Denver) to pick them up; no delivery. I wonder if a bag like this is ever sold.

Could someone post a picture the next time you do one? I tried looking it up but no pictures appeared on google images.

Carlos posted a picture of a bag a page or two back if that's what you're looking for.

Box of nickels today. 2 2009, a 1935D Buffalo, a MAD, a silver. Did a box last week and found a silver and another 1938S. It took me 3 years to find 1 and now this is the 3rd one in 3 months.

3/29 Results (2000 nickels searched) - 30s: 1 (1938 VF details) - 40s: 18 (1940S, 1941S large, 1947D) - 50s: 16 (1951) - 60s>: 9 (AU+) - 2009: 3 (1 XF) - Error/Variety: 6 (need to type) - Foreign: 21 (19 Canadian, 1961; Somalia) I also picked up an 1887 V nickel almost worn smooth on both sides, but a fun find. I was surprised by the number of Canadian coinage this event. I really need to get folders for these as the numbers are starting to pile up. So an interesting box with one surprise and a 1947 D hole filler for my 2015 project. One more box to go...
