Ugh... I should have used headers. I already popped them into the folders but that S belongs to a 1917. Sorry for the coinfusion. Pun intended.

I fixed it Numisma; I couldn't live with it like that! Dilemma: do I start Box 2 or variety hunt the 600 or so nickels I culled out of Box 1? I love a problem like this!!

I love a problem like this!! I say go for the second box. If it's anywhere near as good as box one, I can't wait to see the results.

Skibs - I'm on the fish (so to speak)! I took Numisma's vote to start on box 2. I'm only about 20% done and I found 5 more Buffalo (including a 1916S, Numisma) and 80 or so BU coins (1959-1965). Three more AU+ 1960D Bar nickels and another bunch of 1949S. Same time last year; I found a pile of Buffalo. These aren't in as good condition, but as for my Pickled Nickel collection, I've been filling a bunch of holes with the dateless nickels.

OK, finished the second box and while it wasn't quite as busy as the first, it had some nice keepers! Buffalo - Dateless: 1913 var 2, 1914, 1914D - Dates: 1914S, 1916, 1916D, 1916S (damaged), 1920, 1921, 1925, 1927(2), 1928D, 1929(2), 1935, 1936 Jefferson - 1938/1959(74): 1938(2), 1947, 1953, 1957 in nice shape - 1959/1978(307): AU+/BU, 1960D 'bar'(21), 5 impaired proof - Hundreds of 1960-1968S in AU grade to sort for varieties When I combine the boxes, I totaled 37 Buffalo with a few hole fillers in either my CRH set or my Pickled Nickel set. It is interesting to note that there are several semi-key/key Buffalo still in circulation albeit some of these have been dateless until revealed by pickling. It makes me wonder how far one can get with a CRH Buffalo nickel set. Here are a few pic's from the second box. I also found several S Mint nickels, including another 23 1949S - And a number of early D mint nickels - And this minor 1965 clip - I've had very good fortune this time of year finding Buffalo. Last year I got a few V nickels mixed in and the Buffalo were in better condition. But this year's lot has brought a number of D and S mint hole fillers. Happy hunting folks!! I hope the coin gods smile upon you folks as well!!
