The Goal: 25,000 Rolls Of Nickels (All Searchers Welcome!)

I agree with Nickelsearcher and Ratman on what constitute keepers.

In my 15 years of coin collecting I have found 42-D, 49-S, 50, 51-S, & 55 keepers
I found 49-S and 50 pretty early on roll searching, before finding some of the more common dates. I found 55 about 10 years ago while working registers at K-mart. I got back into roll searching this year and found 42-D. I also found 51-S recently when I looked through my dad's coin bank while visiting my folks 5 hours away.
Not surprisingly, I have not found duplicates of any of these dates.
Makes me glad I was in the right places at the right times to find them.

went through a box today, overall good got 28 pre 1960s including a 1939 and a 1950

thanks, I'm pretty new to roll searching, I just went to the bank and asked for a box its blue and had all shotgun rolls so I'm assuming its a fed box. I've gone through 3 so far and they all have been decent. thats actually the second 1950 I've found in the past 2 months the other one showed up in my register at work

other stuff I've found in them that was good was a 1949S and a I'm guessing AU 1945P War Nickel

Found a first in a new box I picked up yesterday. A two headed coin...I'm sure it's a one of a kind mint error...probably worth thousands.

Or I suppose someone may have cut two nickels in half and glued/soddered them together...come to think of it that's probably what it is. But they really did a great job on it, had to pull out my loupe to confirm that the edge did show a seam where two were put together.

Definitely a keeper in my book.

Today,130 rolls, (Brinks box 50, String 19, Customer wrapped 61). String were junk, and very little out of the customer wrapped. 3 War Nickels (43P,44P, 44? Fire damaged) The sole Dateless Buffalo must have been from the same fire as it was black also. The only hard to find date was a 2009P (3rd found from customer wrapped rolls). 69 other pre 1959. Best find today was a 2006P with a very nice die crack on the reverse running through Monticello rim to rim! I actually found it because I could feel the crack with my finger as I was looking at the obverse. (it was sharp and I thought at first it was a deep scratch) Picture posted in error forum if interested.

I assume you are talking about the Henning counterfeits. They have been discussed here numerous times. You might try a forum search and read through them. I don't know of a good site, I've tried before.

Got thru my first box of nickels and pulled 37 pre 60 coins plus 2 War Nickels. Earliest qa a 39
