This 1984-D nickel from a roll one of my cashiers got from Chase at work yesterday is not scarce, or silver, or old, but for being 32 years old, it sure is pretty. It is very well struck with deep cartwheel luster and 5 full steps, although you can tell from the contact marks that it may have been briefly put into circulation, perhaps out of a mint set. The rest of the coins were all common dates, the oldest being a lone 1964-D. While not as exciting as a Buffalo or V nickel or circulated proof, it's still nice to see something this old come out of a roll looking this good.

Nice finds folks. That Liberty is an exciting find for sure! And finding 1984 nickels in high state and fully struck can be tough.
Happy hunting folks!

Picked up a box of nickels the other day and the teller gave me a box of mixed customer rolls and loomis rolls. $80 in cwr and $20 in loomis rolls. Several pre 60s in the cwr but the loomis rolls produced 4 buffalo's with one roll containing 2 buffs. It is so exciting to find Buffalo nickels. I think this must be part of the same collection or dump from the 12 I found awhile back. The teller said she had ordered 2 boxes and the one box she sold me had the 12 buffs in and she has been selling me bits and pieces out of the second box, which also have produced buffalos. All from the 20s and a few almost/dateless. I'm am definatly going to go back to see if she has any part of that box, and see if I can get the rest of them, even if I have to trade nickels for nickels so she isn't left short. Also I found a dateless buff out of $50 in cwr from another bank (not pictured). I have pulled over 20 buffs in the past 2 weeks, I hope they keep coming.

Four buffs? You can't go wrong with that. Nice! What's that in the top left? Is that what it looks like (a blank)?

Yes, you are right. A blank I found in some quarters from a week or so ago. It is magnetic with a cut mark half through it. It wasn't a coin blank I think it was an electrical box punch out or something. Lost .25 on that one. oh well it happens no big deal. I've been lucky that is the only non coin item I have found since roll searching in about 2 years of searching.

My word, CoinRumbles, that is awesome! Yes, go back and get more! I want to see more of that herd! As for me, not much new... same ol' same ol'... another day, another War Nickel (and an ender to boot) among 19 pre-60s in 40 rolls. 7 days in a row I have found exactly one! Also three 2009-Ds were found. Tomorrow we will go for days in a row of finding a War Nickel! Love breaking the !
