afcop13, congrats on the buffalo and 50! 50 is a semi-key. "by the hotel"? are you saying that you are still in St. Louis? If so, have a blast on CRH!

So, turned the old in, picked up another $40 at another bank.

36 Buff in F to VF - lots of detail still there.
39 (x3)
40
41S
42P - first war nickle pull for me
52D (x2)
57D (x2)
58D (x2)
59D

did find a AU 65 to replace the other one in my folder too.

So - in $80 today - I had some pretty good luck - 2 Buffs and 1 War, plus several other 39-59's.

Dadgum it - you guys have now got me hooked on roll searching nickels as well as halves. lol.

I did 25 rolls of customer wrapped last night and got 2 proofs, a 1976 and a 1981, neither in great shape(the 81 has a nasty scuff on the reverse rim going into the field above Monticello). Not much else to speak of, things have really slowed down around here. I ordered a Brinks box but it won't be in till next Wednesday. I am not discouraged though, experience has shown me that following these lulls in finding good stuff there will be a run of treasure soon! As we always say"it's a numbers game" and you can't find if you don't search so off to the bank to see how many rolls I can scrounge till my Brinks box gets here. Happy searching my obsessive brothers and sisters!

130 rolls today (2 Brinks boxes +20, and 10 customer wrapped). Only 1 War Nickel (43P) and a 1951S. Nothing else worthy of mention.

Nice finds everybody! Great to catch up and read everybody else's finds!

Been having to lay low; dislocated hip (snow) kids out of school for a number of days (snow) and g/f in hospital for a number of days (not snow) has been keeping me away from my beloved nickels somewhat. But, I have a few updates, which I will share.

The most amazing thing about this update is not a single 1958d! I don't think that's happened before.

Always nice to get one of the so-called "Big 5"; would have preferred a 50d but I will settle for the 38d!

A couple of interesting finds this update, including one that I need to start a thread about to get some opinions. (see photos below)

Pretty ugly Cud, but a Cud is a Cud!
http://i591.photobucket.com/albums/...DSCF2356.jpg

A little perplexed about what happened here. Pretty sure it's just a lamination, but until I took the closeup photos I was thinking it might be some kind of strike thru. Possibly both? I'll post a separate thread to get this more attention. It's a 1954d.
