Some of you may remember the batch of notes I purchased earlier this year. https://goccf.com/t/239823 Well I sent the majority of them off for grading, and many moons later they finally came back to me. There was no real surprise in the grade except for the black eagle that made a 66ppq It was the nicest example I had ever seen raw, but I didn't expect a 66, I'm not complaining about it though. Enough chatting on to the pictures. Black eagle Gold certificates Nationals Edited by davec13 12/17/2015 7:22 pm

Thanks everyone. It's nice being able to show instead of just always having to look. All I can say is there are deals out there if you keep your eyes open.

Beautiful notes...
Not the stars of the show but I particularly like the $20 gold certificates, suddenly I am getting the cravings for a 1922 one. I like the way the United States of America and the Twenty Dollars are written in the decorative scroll work.
The black eagle note, wow! Hard to believe this is more than 100 years old, it looks like it was printed yesterday, very different from my tatty one.

I have a soft spot for the 1922 $20 gold notes myself. I may have a couple more stashed away I know what your taste in notes are david, I'll hit you up after the holiday spending spree has ceased.

Marc - A pic of the reverse would help, but generally speaking, it is difficult to offer a useful opinion on a higher-grade note. One cannot view the note with a backlight, examine the embossing or look for indications of light handling or even pressing.

Marc, that's a nice bill. Much better than the one I have (I'm a bit jealous). If it were mine, I'd send it in for grading like Dave did. I suspect it's worth at least $400, maybe more depending on condition.
