I decided to get myself a late Christmas present with my ebay bucks. I ended up choosing the third privateer round since it was so unusual and I always loved vacationing in the Carribean. The problem is once it's here I don't know what to do with it storage wise.

I looked at air rights from the company but they said they could rattle and that would annoy me. Part of me wants to just leave it in a Mylar flip or even in the open in my safe to let it tone since I'm not crazy about blast white coins and I like toning.

I left coins in my old safe for like 10 years like golden dollars and ASE that developed ring and overall rainbow toning that I absolutely love. At the same point I'm like half worried about collectors value mostly from a bragging rights in my own head. I don't plan to sell it within fifty years and I assume once it does get sold it be just bullion at spot with a cool design. I'm not like crazy and making a mistakefor wanting to see how nature takes it course in toning am I? After my voucher I got it for about $10.

Do you guys have any opinions or ideas of what you did with yours to display it?

I have all 3 of mine in airtites. Yes, they do rattle a little but atleast I know they are safe. It's not that bad in my opinion.

I have to admit, that I really like these two ounce rounds. I plan to keep getting one as they come out with new designs.

Congrats on your addition.

I'm also bothered by the cost :( it's only like $1.80 for the case but $6 for the shipping. The cheapest I can find on Amazon is $6. Tempted to buy ten from provincial and try selling the nine on ebay to recoup my shipping cost. Just becomes a headache thinking about spending that much for a case for bullion :(. Wished they had a first class option for small items.

I love the 2 oz. Provident coins which is odd for me as I seldom buy a silver "round". I have several of the first Privateer and two each of the second and third one. Also one of each of the Cleopatra, Grand Canyon and Liberty Island. I plan on buying 1 of each of future releases.

Anyway, I keep them in Provident 2 oz. airtites and some of them do rattle a bit but I bought a pirate treasure chest and that's where I keep mine. I just keep adding to it one coin at a time. Someday I will have it filled up.

I'm just so tapped out spent too much this month haha. Though if I could maybe buy something else to make the shipping better maybe make me feel better. Something like a kilo copper bar just because having a bar of metal that big seems cool lol. Though still playing with the idea of it being free but safe so it will tone itself.

I also agree the cost of the air-tight is more than I like to spend, and shipping cost if you were just purchasing that would make it not even worth it to me. What I do is only purchase from Provident (or any site really) if I qualify for free shipping.

For provident that's a $99 minimum order. So as long as you got that amount in the cart then you wont pay an exorbitant shipping cost for the air-tight, but it is a decent amount of dough to drop at once.
