It looks good, nice strike, from the images, but I prefer (insist on) mine PCGS certified. MS60 ( TPG certified) historical prices were $100-115 for 1865.

I think it's a pretty exceptional specimen, gotta go 63 anyway. A similar one sold on ebay for 120 recently, with very similar clashes, this one looks nicer. Who know what the color really is until it's in hand but the fields and rim are really nice.

Quote: I like the die cracks. What you're seeing is a die clash. For me that always makes a coin more interesting. And the strike is very nice. I'd call it almost 100% and that's very good for this issue.

Quite a good looking coin. Better than my MS63 of the same date.

Appears to be a nice, original coin. Only thing that you have to watch is a light wiping that creates hairlines that are not seen in the pic because of the orientation of the light. Nevertheless, the seller has a generous return period.

I'm thinking first thing is EYE APPEAL, heck with the grade ..... This coin has EYE APPEAL .....
As for the strike, pretty good but a little weak on reverse but typical ......
Grade ..... I think it's been slid across the counter on its back a few times - the obverse no but reverse yes, I believe ..... Personally I would grade obverse MS63+ and reverse AU-58+ .....
Price, I suspect coin will go in the $130 range, due to eye appeal ......
As for stabbed coin, I'd buy way it is, I break most of mine out and put in album anyways!

Up to $100 with 30 minutes to go.
If I did not already have a nice 3CN in my type set, that I am very happy with, I would bid on this one.
Eye appeal and die clash are big plus for me.
