At the suggestion of a mod I have cross posted here.
maybe I have a super rare VAM lol

So I see stuff in pictures I don't see in life especially when it comes to silver but this 1921D Morgan would appear to have a Die clash on the reverse. Can anyone confirm or deny this and does it add any kind of premium to the coin?

I see the die crack.
I like it.
At least over 50% of the circumference, maybe more.

I don't see the die crack on the reverse.

But in both cases I see little or nothing as a premium.
Some people like them; some don't.

the area above the olive leaves seems like a clash mark to me but I am probably just wishing it was.
Rest in Peace

Sorry, but I am not seeing any signs of clashing. Clashed coins generally do not carry any premium over unclashed coins, and some in fact prefer unclashed coins. Coins that are very heavily clashed do tend to carry some premium, with perhaps the most famous being the 1889-P VAM-23A http://www.vamworld.com/1889-P+VAM-23A. Another one of my favorites comes from the same series http://www.vamworld.com/1889-P+VAM-19B2

I would guess that if your coin was strongly clashed that you would be able to tell ;)
Hopefully this helps!
Rest in Peace

Here is the link to the 1889-P VAM-23A again. The period carried into the link above so will not work unless copy and pasted into address bar without the period. Easier to just click the following link though ;)

I see evidence of a die clash to the right of o of of. Plenty of minor die cracks too on both sides. To the enthusiast it is very nice. To the non-believer a bit of a yawn. Maybe a 10% premium is probably all you could expect.
Rest in Peace

That appears to be Post-mint damage to me. That area of the coin does not typically end up clashed, unless of course the dies were misaligned when they clashed. There are VERY few examples of misaligned die clashes in the Morgan series.

They're fun trying to attribute them. Just a fun series to collect for sure.

Be sure to visit vamworld and look at the die crack guides. Will point you in the right direction on yours.
