A dealer friend (on another forum) reported several notes stolen during the recent FUN show in Tampa, Florida. Please note the following have been reported:

FR 233 1899 $1 SC in raw xf ser# D34448294A
FR 235 1899 $1 SC in raw xf ser# N50556329A
FR 236 1899 $1 SC in raw vf/xf ser# T432786A
FR 237 1923 $1 SC in raw CCU ser#Y57683190D
FR 237 1923 $1 SC in raw GEM ser#A6630141B

With the serial numbers being recorded I cant imagine that these will be easy for the thief to sell.

I'm sorry but if I ever deal at any future show, I'm going to have cameras everywhere around my table. I know one dealer that does this. Sad world we live in but that's just reality.

Surveillance tech has improved so much and gotten so affordable that it's a cheap insurance policy at this point. Why wouldn't you? Quote:

They were misplaced and never brought to the show to begin with, according to the owner.
