These are common and I already have a few but when I see nice ones for sale I can't help myself. I think they are one of the most beautiful coins the US has produced. All discussion welcomed!! Thanks! Scratches on holder are producing some shadows on the coin. Edited by jpbone 01/15/2016 2:59 pm

EF-45. Take it those obverse horizontal lines are on the holder.

Yes, those lines are shadows from scratches on the holder.

Xf-45 was my first impression also. Outside shot at AU-50. One of my favorite coin designs.

I agree w KenKat. I wouldn't be surprised to see a 50. The reverse is also one of my all time favorites. Isn't it nice to be able to afford such a classic?

EF-45. Definitely not 50 with the complete absence of luster.

Love your coin..I have this same coin in 1853O...XF-45 PCGS..For sure one of my better coins. You have to love a one year type...looks a lot like mine, hard to get them into AU with that lovely gray color, but this one might just crack AU......Beautiful!
