I can't find anything wrong on this coin. Looks like it should be a ms65? Am I correct? I was reading that some older grades might go up if you have them regraded. Is this old enough. Now on to the experts...

Well, I'm definitely not the one to ask about taking pictures. I take mine with my phone and they are mediocre at best. There is a photographing section in this forum. You may be able to find some pointers there.

Even one ding of scratch in the wrong place (cheek) can knock a IHC out of 65. I'm sure you will have many more positive responses if you can figure out the photos.

In general if it hasn't been cracked out and resubmitted by now the consensus of former owners is that it won't upgrade.

Here is the 1868 with better pictures. Had to brush up on photoshop though. So it was graded PCGS MS4RB. Do you think this is accurate and when should you resubmit it? I was reading if it was a old grade this might work.

looks like it could be anywhere from a 63 to a 65. It would be up to the conservationism and overall mood of the graders in the group that day. You'll never guarantee what it will wind up and no number of opinions is going to sway that outcome.

Its an awesome looking IHC. An 1868 that red and lustrous is just a thing of beauty. thanks for sharing it.

thank you. I was trying to see if there was any clear way to see what grade it is. But finding out that it sure can be subjective.

If it were mine, I'd leave it be I really don't think you will get a 65 out of it.

MS-64RB seems about right based on these photos.
