I am thinking about selling this coin in order to pay for one I am interested in. What should I expect to get. I paid $45 for this coin many years ago from Bill Fivaz as an EF-40. That is what I am hoping to sell it for. Is that reasonable?

Book in XF is about $50-$55 ..... For some reason Two Cent Pieces don't appreciate much ....

You could also check ebay listings and get a better idea!

Yes, Typecoin that seems reasonable price..

I just don't like the dullness it shows.

I think it's a super coin - nice and clean with great coloring. Textbook EF-40. You might be lucky to break even on it after ebay and Paypal fees, unfortunately. Hang on to it if you can!

It's a solid EF40 to me, It should be in the $40-45 range. As mentioned the prices really haven't changed much on these coins in a long time.

Now if it had the full serif on the D in UNITED it would be worth a few dollars more on the plain 5 logotype date, a full serif on the fancy 5 coins is a really tough variety, unfortunately there are only a handful of us deuce variety collectors willing to pay any premium to get them, the variety wouldn't matter to 99.9% of the rest of the collecting world.

P.S. This looks like the Plain 5 to me not the Fancy 5. The Plain 5 is a bit more uncommon than the fancy, but no premium on this one.

XF-40. I've never seen an XF two center with this much original luster left on it.

The thing is, I don't think it is original luster...

I was really surprised, and happy, that you guys didn't say cleaned. I wasn't sure, but Bill Fivaz sold it to me as problem-free.

It actually looks very original. I think it will bring decent money; ugly Two Cent Pieces are all over ebay, but the prettier ones actually do well.

List its provenance as "ex: Bill Fivaz" and get more money.
