My wife found this in her jewelry box tonight. Even though we have been married for years, she put it in there before we met and forgot about it. She received it in change years ago.

Pretty fun find to say the least :)

that appears to be a zinc core showing. Between 1982.5 and 2008 probably

Definitely. I suggest getting rid of it soon before zinc rot sets in. Nice find!

Thanks gents. The "copper fever" hit me a couple weeks ago, hence why I joined the forum.

Sorry the pics are blurry, but my DLSR camera finally bit the dust after about 250,000 shutter clicks. Just have the crappy phone to use for a while.

A nice casual find. I'm glad she set it aside.

I'm not sure what kind of phone you are using, but many folks here use their camera phones to post pics. Browse the photography forum for some tips with working with cellphone cameras.

I just find it incredible that anyone would give that out as change. They must have taken it in as payment that day, then gave it back out. It would never fit in a roll.
