Remember, Just because any coin is slabbed does not mean it is what the label states. This is just My opinion but I believe You or any other collector can look at a slabbed coin, and locate problems, even a MS-70. Not all, but far too many...

I understand what your saying, I feel it is the same even
in raw coins.

I feel you could go to 10 different LCS's. And for example
look at raw Seated half dollars. They may have some that
are graded on the 2X2's as VF ... but as you said,
You or any other collector can look at a (raw) coin, and locate problems.

This hobby is always changing. For right now the top three
grading companies is the best thing we have to get fairly
consistent grading. There are many collectors that need
help in grading.

In addition .. Slabbed/graded coins are now part of this
hobby. Some might not like them .. but they are here.
I do understand some collectors are into collecting
labels. For me, I think a set that has all the same labels,
and very close to the same grade. Is a pretty nice
looking set.

A completely matched set add a little premium and a lot of cool factor.

I agree .. and do like the looks of them all being
brown labeled.

I am thinking maybe do the 2006 and up, burnished coins
in blue labels .. just to show they have a difference.

An infomercial on TV caught my eye a couple weeks ago. They had complete set of NGG MS69 1986-2015 ASEs for sale at $59.99 +s/h for each coin. Makes it over $1700 for complete set.

By the way I am extremely jealous. Want whole set but can't afford. I do have the 1986 NGC MS69 your missing though.
