Just want to make sure this is PMD and not some sort of lamination/rim problem.

the rim look a hit and was pushed inward, its PMD

Lincoln's head does look a little like a lamination issue

That was my initial thought too, but it seems too coincidental that the coin would have PMD right next to the lamination issue...that's why I figured they were probably both PMD.

It is possible that whatever hit the rim, also hit Lincoln's head and caused the lamination issue.

T-BOP is correct, the early 50's Lincolns were full of these cracked skull die breaks.
