Yeah I thought about asking but didn't. I was so stunned that it happened. Like I said, I've never had that happen before. I mean every now and then a wheatie will pop up but all that silver, and yes, a Barber dime!

I have never received silver in change. I've found it CRH and in coinstar but never in change. Congrats

The Barber certainly made me jealous. That's incredible to me, no one noticed a 100+ year old coin.

Also as strange is nobody noticed the Indian Head cent which is 6 years older! I'd love to have more days like this one yesterday.

Quote:Wonder if he had any Morgans, Peace dollars or walking Liberty. I highly doubt it. I can understand them not noticing a merc or a Barber dime (due to the design similarity), but a silver dollar or a Walker is unlikely to go unnoticed.

Yeah the size of the Morgan, peace and half dollar would probably give those away. I don't believe they would have slots for those in the tray anyway. I'm still shocked over it though. Just goes to prove, you should always check your change...

Almost as if they brought the cash register out of cold storage. Nice finds.

Quote: Ah, someone trying to get rid of their 'foreign' coins. Makes sense for the Barber and the IHC, but I don't think that's plausible for the Washington and FDRs.
