Out shopping today and I paid for my goods and received change back. Someone must have turned in dads coin collection

This was the change I received. Thankfully she ran out of quarters and had to use dimes instead...

I've never received silver in change, at least since I was a little boy. I didn't even notice at first until I move the coins around in my hand and they didn't feel or sound right. I looked down and was shocked. I was to taken by the silver I didn't even realize I had an Indian Head cent in the pile as well.

I'm with moxking. Or you could have asked the cashier to exchange notes for change.
Rest in Peace

I received a 1944 Merc the other day in change as well...if I were you, I would have went right back into the store to see what other "change" you can get from them.
