I have been watching for one of these, and I think this might be a good buy.

I bought one of these yesterday. I thought I would let others know there
are three more available. The Mega Red Book list these at $78.

This is a set I don't see very often.

I wanted to get one before Commems makes a awesome post about it

Tesla is. Very cool .... I don't think he gets the credit he deserves.

But this is for the 150th of the light bulb invention ....

Before that people were in the dark a lot

Cool! Thanks for the heads up. I don't recall seeing this back in '04 but really only bought the annual sets back then anyway.
Rest in Peace

Coin by itself often sells for less than $20.

You are correct, the Edison dollars do not trade for much.

This is one of those cases where your not just buying the coin.
Some collectors the special sets that the mint puts out.

It's definitely a unique set with the working light bulb (after batteries are replaced).

Reminds me vaguely of Pink Floyd's Pulse album.

I wondered about that, the light. It will be nice if I can
get the light working.

On the other hand, I am not sure how many years it is
expected to work.

If any others have this set, I would be interested to know
if the light work?

The seller said they'd ship new batteries with the set. So if the filament isn't broken, should work ok I'd guess.

The set came yesterday, I am happy with it

The seller did send batteries and after figuring out how to
replace them the light is working fine. One of the batteries
was a little crusty, I tried cleaning that up. There is a note
in the box, stating that for keeping the light working longer
take the batteries out.

The light has a sensor, so when the box is opened the light
comes on.

I really don't want to say a lot here, because I am hoping
commems will do a detailed post.
