I like them. Both coins look solid for the assigned grades and the certs are a cool piece of numismatics history. Hopefully Conder will be along to fill us in on the specifics of IGA. (up until now IGA was a super market to me )

Oh yeah, accurately graded to todays standards was another factor in my purchase. Thought it added an extra touch of appeal to them

Beautiful Morgans & nice pickups. They look a bit "nicer" than the ANACS Photo Certificates because they have the folder.
The 1889 - VAM-8 IMO, DR matches for date, reverse rusted dies at ONE DOLLAR match VAM-8 plate coin. ? on grade, obverse seems to have wear, or perhaps a really light strike.
The first 1881-S: MS63-MS64, VAM-22 possibly?
I must admit to never having seen this particular photo certificate company before, or if I did, I don't remember them.

Nice pickup's I really do like them. And I think they are both good additions to your collection. To me it is nice to have different examples, like these. They are part of how third party grading has been evolving over the past 30 years. Someday you might be able to show new (young) collection how our hobby has progress from photo grading through different generations of slabs ... And what ever comes next. ------------------------ Not sure if anyone has mentioned the past couple weeks. Welcome to page one (Top 50) Pretty fast couple years for you

Try VAM 24. It's a normal date position that's actually far left of normal and the polishing lines are present around the cotton bolls.

By George I think you got it dave The 8 in the denticles is barely visible due to denticle stretching but the other pups are there as well

V24 is a cool VAM with everything going on and the date digit in the denticles has always been a favorite. Cool pick!

Quote: Would you expect anything less from The Blind Vammer Absolutely not. I knew darn well one if not both of these would turn out to be a very interesting VAM. Your streak continues.

Dave is probably one of the best VAMmers on CCF when it comes to attributing from pictures that I would need a microscope to diagnose.
