My first 1934 LGS set, the St. Louis set, is now complete with the newly bought $500 note.
A $5,000 or $10,000 note is sadly out of my range, but this doesn't matter much.

The 11 other sets are still in progress...

Nice set, I noticed the $1000 even has a very appropriate Eric Newman provenance(he lives in St Louis).
Rest in Peace

Yes, the $1000 note was once part of the Eric P. Newman Collection. It's a special for me. I really like notes with a history like this one.

The $500 comes from the Holecek Family Collection. Another nice story, all higher denominations in this collection were bought from Harlan White.

Thank you all!

To complete more of these sets will be much more difficult.

A few more sets are nearly complete.
So for example 9 of 12, 10 of 12 and even 11 of 12 are already put together, but some notes I need are very expensive, but more notes aren't actually available.
I'm afraid I must simply wait...

amrys, to emphasize my previous comments:
EXCELLENT set and great provenance. I remember Harlan White and some of the great treasures he handled through the years (yes, I'm way over 40 - LOL).
A really great . Well done, sir.

I'm trying to calculate the cost of acquiring all LGS notes (to $1,000) from all districts, and from all series (1928-A,B,C to 1934) that issued LGS notes, in certified 63PQ or better, and I'm thinking that would be next to impossible.

But I wish you luck!
