Three of these wood box display cases came in local this
past week. The coins that came in them were sold and
the shop still had the boxes. So of course I picked
one up.

When I got home I was looking through my slabbed coins wondering
what I could put in the case.

Then I saw these three.

My wife said she could print up a information sheet.
So I gave here some information for a test.
The first try in on regular printer paper.
If it looks good .. will do card stock and maybe
laminate.

I am open to suggestions on text changes.

Thanks Dave

After reading it right now, thinking of adding "From" above the set name.
And check the 1997 set name, I gave her that information off the top
of my head. I think I better check all the information.

It seems like I have seen a better mintage number for the 1997 nickel.
I know there was 25,000 sold ... I am thinking there were some returns.

This case has really got my mind turning. There are a couple more cases
At the coin shop. So now I am wondering how I might be able to use them.

Top of my thoughts.
I have been wanting to pickup a high and low leaf Wisconsin D quarter.
Then put the high and low leaf with a regular 2004 WI D.

Or maybe some other odd coins in my collection
Henning nickel
1970 D Washington quarter on dime stock
Have to think of a third for this group.
Rest in Peace

Very nice display. Certainly highlights the coins you've chosen.

Thanks Moxking

For those members that don't know.

These three coins only came in special commemorative sets.

All three could be considered key/semi key coins.
They are the only three matte proof coins of the 1990's.

I think they are coins that all modern collectors should have in
their collection. A problem is, there are not specific holes in any
of the coin albums. Ends up being a problem on what to do with
odd coins. I think I will be happy with this solution.

That's nice, my preference would be same denomination. Maybe high grade birth year PDS,or 1st yr of issued denomination such as the Buffalo nickel, something like that.

Thanks, I was until you said that.

And a very nice way to showcase these special coins that get overlooked by the album companies.

Yes I should have better explained how these three coins
are connected, from the start of the post.

Also these are three matte proof coins that made it to
Whitman's greatest 100 modern coins list.

My mind is doing the same thing .. spinning.

The Ike idea does sound interesting.

I was not sure where you were headed with this, seeing those three coins had nothing to do with WWII, but then I got to the part about the custom information sheet and I was sold. Very nice!

You could do a nice Lincoln Cent display 09, 09VDB, 09 S VDB. Or do a V nickel set no cents, w/cents, and racketeer with the history that would be a nice display.
