Wow that seems like a lot of money for a coin like that. What's the significance?

I have my Vancouver one in a ICCS holder, maybe I should send it to PCGS...

I don't understand how there was only a mintage of 95 coins for each mask. how is this possible?

@forumguy There have been a number of previous threads debating the accuracy of the published mintages. Don't remember there being any firm conclusions though.

More information for those interested. https://goccf.com/t/130766#130766BTW, some of the ebay listings quote Wikipedia with an unconfirmed (likely fictional) story about the fate of some of the coins. "Very few of these coins still exist, as many were destroyed during a attempt to create a memorabilia item for the Home Shopping Network. They attempted to encase the coins is hot plastic as a commemorative showpiece. The hot plastic melted the painted side of the coin, effectively destroying it. It's believed about 700 coins were destroyed during this process. The other coins were sold directly via the Mint website, as none were ordered by secondary dealers." Funny that almost every dealer sold these coins yet "none were ordered". Buyer beware.
