Just got this one yesterday. No porosity or noticable scratches under magnification. What thinketh thou?

EF-40 details, surfaces do not look original.

Can you explain why the surfaces are not original. This coin has no signs of cleaning, and is a bit darker than the pictures show.

EF-40, probably details. To mew, the area inside the wreath on the reverse contrasts too sharply with the area between the wreath and the rim. The effect is generally true on the obverse as well.

I think it is just dirty, not altered surfaces or ED.

A bath in acetone and/or Verdi-Care might prove very helpful.
