I found this coin while CRH US cents. Curious what you all might think the grade is. Thanks in advance.

I can't offer a grade opinion but

WOW! cool find! It's still reddish and it isn't all beat up!

Do I dare to give it an AU grade? No wear but some nicks here and there. High AU if anything.

This coin was minted in bronze up until sometime in the 70's, when it was changed to the same composition as the 1 pfennig coin, copper-plated steel. From my coin channels here in Europe the coin is pretty common. I wonder how it got over to the other side of the great pond.

Fun fact: all older (West) German Mark coins from before the euro are fully redeemable at the German Bundesbank at about €0,5/Mark. Technically, you could get about 1 eurocent for it, but probably not worth the hassle
