I have been watching this for a long time just to see if anyone ever buys it... 250k is a lot of money but the fact that this note has survived and even in the publics hands and not a museum or something really is amazing. http://www.ebay.com/itm/FR-2211-L-1...AOSwQPlV78oZ

What's even more striking is that this guy's profile says he's 24 and has several bills listed for over 1 million dollars.
Incredible note, though.

Great googly moogly! Maybe we could assemble a collective from CCF to have joint ownership of this baby. Seriously, that's an amazing note. Wow.

I could buy that.... if I sold my house, my Mom's house, and 1-2 kidneys.

At least he is legitimate... I would be highly sceptical of buying anything with these price tags and not being face-to-face... Not that I would EVER be able to buy something with this price tag... I shouldn't even look at it because it costs soooooo much

I know this note too! I'm watching the offer since JC has started it on ebay. Of course a fantastic note, but the condition is so bad... Otherwise I think there would be a collector who will buy this very first SF $1000 1934 LGS! I know the seller too, a smart young man and very nice, but he's often on the road, sometimes it's difficult to contact him. His offers seem sometime ambitious, but you can try to work out good deals with him! I was tempted to buy a consecutive pair of $1000 1934 LGS Philadelphia notes from him (both are PCGS 63 PPQ), the price was very fair, but then I found another $1000 1934 LGS Philly PMG 64 EPQ I like much more. Later I've bought the Eric P. Newman $1000 1934 LGS St. Louis note from him. A great deal! That's why I can say he's a good dealer, even with higher prices and I think we will see more offers from him!

A few years back, this seller had (if I remember right) a faded $2 red seal note, saying it was a North Africa note. The seal was faded to a yellowish tone, but we all know there are no yellow seal Africa notes. I believe it was a series 1953. I pointed it out on this forum, and one of our members said he was disappointed in the seller, as he knew him, and bought from him in the past. It sold for around $100. I have come across several notes he has had in the past, but for this reason, I'll never buy from him.

That doesn't sound good and is obviously a different experience with this seller... I'm sorry to read this.
My deal with him was really great, but it was only ONE deal until today, I can't give any guarantee that this is typical.

With a total pop of 1 in private hands, all he needs is 1 interested buyer!

There isn't as many watchers on it as the awesome #1 Bison Note. But the guy selling it is asking a million dollars for it!

The owner of the #1 Bison note is the same who originally requested 65k for my $1000 Dallas note. JL has often very "interesting" prices....
