Here is something I haven't seen before. Coinmart is selling coins that they have graded that are cross graded by ICCS at the same grades. I guess Coinmart is trying to build credibility for their graded coins. ebay listings: 401082621723401082625595401082621111

I noticed one of these a short time ago, but didn't give it too much thought ... my automatic reaction was that they may have reholdered an ICCS flip with one of theirs, which is similar. I have some of their 'graded' coins and have no problems with them and know that others here have stated they are good graders. This could be a way of increasing that credibility though.

They are no longer ICCS valid . They are simply raw coins . That said these guys are excellent to deal with and know how to grade. Once you break a coin out of a TPG holder that servic opinion is invalid.

My take on this seller is not positive with the examples shown here.
You are being asked to buy the holder as the simple everyday zoom option is not available.
I always like to have a close look at expensive toys that I'm buying.
Why would they not let you get close to the coins here..? (unless they have someth.....)
I'm disgusted when a pro seller has no zoom available and then stay far away from them..

I am not sure if they have something to hide, maybe resolution. Is there an option to disable the zoom? or is it just low resolution images?
My dealings with these guys have been positive.

Im with DEVLEC on this one, if you can't use zoom I generally don't trust it. If they wanted to increase their reputation why not provide high resolution pics and zoom so it can easily be confirmed there grade matches what the coin is. That being said I've heard nothing but good things from most people.

The Coinmart holstered coins that I have seen at shows are , almost across the board< way too generous and overgraded for circulated coins. In my opinion, many are at least 10 points too high in the VF-20 to XF grades.

I buy from them from time to time. I never keep the coins in their holders tho. I always pop them out. I have sent their coins to ICCS to get a professional recognized TPG to authenticate the grade and they have never been wrong! Coinmart is very accurate with grading ( at least the MS grades as that's all I've ever bought from them) But in the case of these ads, I agree with Pacificoin... The ICCS opinion is no longer valid after breaking them out. I'd like to see if ICCS will cross grade a Coinmart holder

Hello everyone! This is Joseph from Coin Mart (coinmart62 on ebay.) Just wanted to give my Two Cents on this topic. These listings are from Dave at BCcoinmart who started the company with me a decade ago. We run different ebay sites now offering accurately graded coins, that are too cheap to spend $8 to get graded by ICCS. My general motto is any coin over $100 should be in a ICCS Holder. They are the best at what they do and when purchasing expensive coins online I would always suggest something in an ICCS holder. When we do buy expensive raw coins, we do package, grade and list them until we are ready to send at least 100 coins to ICCS for bulk grading. In the past, when a ICCS coin's package was damaged, we would put them in our holder and write the ICCS certification number on it. This is something that I have stopped doing because once it is out of their holder it is invalid. I would just re-grade it and put it in our holder or send it back to ICCS for a re-pack which costs $2 but then you can't sell the coin for two months while you wait to get it back. I would like to make a quick comment about the zoom feature. In the past we would scan the coins (Dave at BCcoinmart still does.) I think when you do this that feature may be disabled. My site (coinmart62) is the original site and I have replaced 2000 of the 3000 listings with proper pictures taken with a camera. I am still having problems with the zoom feature on some listings and will try and get that fixed right away. We are not very computer savvy over here so please bear with us. If there is a coin that you a interested in we will always send you more pictures. Lastly, we are not a coin certification company, we simply grade our raw coins to offer our customers an accurate idea of what they are buying. Every coin that we sell in our holder, goes through 2 sets of eyes. We try our very best to be as accurate as possible. If for any reason someone purchases a coin from me and is not happy with the grade we give the coin, I will give you a full refund, pay for return shipping and ship your next coin for free. We do this because we love it and not for the money. I would just like to say thank you to those who have purchased from us in the past! We look forward to doing business with you again soon!

Quote: I am still having problems with the zoom feature on some listings and will try and get that fixed right away. We are not very computer savvy over here so please bear with us. I'm not a computer guy either..but the zoom is a very basic thing ....a serious omission IMHO... Quote: If there is a coin that you a interested in we will always send you more pictures.
Now that option is also a "no-go" from ebay. I only receive little football shaped pics when added and sent to me..so that will never work.. Just get perfectly sharp pics in and make the zoom work..We the buyers will do the rest.. Quote: I would just like to say thank you to those who have purchased from us in the past! You sound very sincere and also very legit.. So thanks for clarifying everything here.. D

Thank you very much Devlec, I appreciate your input and suggestions. I have done some research since reading your post on the Zoom feature. When uploading pictures we need to check the "Picture Pack" box and that enables the zoom. Unfortunately I failed to do this on many listings. We create listings by copying previous listings and changing the information within. So when one listing is done incorrectly, the rest will be as well. I will put a call into ebay to find out how I can fix all of my existing listings. Thanks to everyone who have brought this to my attention. This is an important feature that I need to have working properly.

Hi Joseph, does Roman Tam still do most of the grading for Coin Mart? His eye was pretty darn good at grading - I tend to trust Roman's grading in any raw holder.
I used to enjoy the company of Roman and Dave when they did Nuphilex and Coin Expo coin shows...

Hello SPP-OTTAWA! Yes Roman still grades our coins for us. I give every coin an initial grade when we purchase something and Roman gives it a final grade. In my opinion, he is one of the best. I have learned a lot from him over the years. Roman, Dave and I did all the shows back east for years but haven't been back for a couple. We loved dong them but traveling can be expensive. We will try to attend the Coin EXPO in Toronto this April. Nuphelix was always my favorite. Montreal is a fun, beautiful city and we had an opportunity to meet our many customers from Quebec
