Whether there is a demand for good looking polished or whizzed coins or there are so many new beginners is a good question.

whizzed means that it is mechanically cleaned with a metal brush.

Not the greatest coin but it only had 4 bids and three were by the same bidder.

You can go to the ccf glossy for a definition of "wizzed"

Not sure I see a whizzing here. Maybe. It was very light and done well if so. Those patches on his beard, ear and hair area do seem to support a possible wizzing though

100% whizzed or polished.

Actually, it's usually glass wool they use and not metal.

A cloth buffer wheel will accomplish a whiz without the damage caused from a wire brush.

Even odder is that the listing states that:

"Coin detail information and example images provided courtesy of Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS). All Rights Reserved."

I think that's in reference to the specifications posted right above the statement. It's certainly misleading as PCGS had nothing to do with that coin.

I wonder what it would have looked like if it wasn't whizzed . Seems like it could have been a nice Lincoln.
