I'll be the first to admit I don't know a ton about Indian Head cents. I saw a lot go up for sale and traded some emails with the seller. She was an older lady who used to be into collecting. She posted these up at a reasonable rate and stated she had no interest in collecting anymore and wanted to get rid of them. These were the only coins she had. She said she hoped I would give them a good home and even included a hand written note with the package so I thought that was nice. I gave her the asking price of $1.10 per coin. I got 55 coins in total but these were the best dates. Looks like quite a few were cleaned (I assume the lighter color means they were). Some others have some verdigris on them. The 1909-P is in real nice shape though with no verdigris. Worst case these are hole fillers, as I don't own many pre 1880 IHPs. What do you think? Did I do OK? I did confirm that 1901 does have a full liberty with 3-4 diamonds so that's why I included it in the picture. These are also the first Flying Eagle cents I've ever owned; they aren't in top notch shape but still pretty cool! All other cents in the lot were mostly 1880's and 90's with a few from the early 1900's.

You did great. Can't find those for that price to much. Even at coin shows, not for that price.

Nice group of cents. If in decent condition the Flying Eagle cents and the 1859 & 1861 IHCs are very nice scores.

When you say you "saw a lot go up for sale" what do you mean? On ebay or this CCF forum? I think you got a great deal.

First of all I would also like to know if the listing was on e-bay . Because if it was, then I can truly say ''See , sometimes little old lady stories are true''
Real nice IHC's and FE's , Some nice harder dates, and a fantastic price.
