I doubt many people own the first bison ever made! I'll bet you some money that you don't! Joking! Everyone, post how much you would pay for it (at a reasonable price, we all would pay a buck for it)!

Last sold in 2013 from the Greensboro Collection.

"Only three number one Bisons are known for all nine signature combinations, but this note is the most important of the group, since as a Fr. 114, it is the very first Bison note printed...the "A" position note from the first sheet of four. The number two note from the sheet is known. The number three note has never been seen on the market. And the number four note is in the Smithsonian Institution."

Methinks $1,000,000 is super duper overpriced for this piece.

2013 sale price: $64,625
2008 sale price: $80,500

I know the seller, Jess Lipka.

I have made some off ebay purchases from Jess, and I see him at most of the larger Coin & Currency shows.
He started CGA Currency back in 1998, and sold the business to John Spinelli.
Check out his others items on ebay.....he has some really nice paper currency.

I know Jess too!
His offers are sometimes, let me say "ambitious", but he really has very nice or rare notes!
Without Jess I would never have some great $1000 LGS notes in my collection. The rarest note I bought from him was the $1000 1934 LGS Dallas.

This price was "ambitious" too, but I didn't pay this amount. Of course that price wasn't as high as the price for the Bison! Jess is a gambler, it's always interesting to find out what he really demands...

The listing noted in the previous post was "ended by the seller because the item is no longer available."

There have been discussions about how some think it is unfair for ebay to charge a fee for a, say, $500 bill. The logic of those complainers is that the bill has a face value, but others explained that EVERYTHING sold on ebay has a value (or cost), but ebay charges a fee on the total amount collected (well, unless the seller ends the listing).
