***EDIT***
****MODERATOR PLEASE DELETE THREAD****
The 1899 with a star is a replacement note, which I already figured. Basically just got excited and trigger happy when I saw a pretty huge mistake made by a good reputable seller (everyone can make a mistake)Basically after looking and looking and checking and checking back and forth to make sure my eyes weren't deceiving me, wanted to capitalize on their mistake but discovered the only mistake they made was mixing up their photos. I'll let them know.

Steve - you are correct, it was 1910, but they were still printing the Series of 1899 SC denominations ($1, $2 and $5) at that time, and continued to do so for another dozen years. The $2 Silver Certificate was never redesigned or re-issued after the 1899 Series ended.

Steve - Here is an example. It is a Series of 1899 $1 SC, but since it bears the signatures of Tehee and Burke, it wasn't printed until 1915-1919.

Tell me about it Coinfrog! haha I wish!! I mean even when they switch pictures and put the porthole in the right spot they still are asking a decent price. If I had the extra cash now I'd still probably buy it. It's @ Denly's of Boston. Even when they fix the issue seems like they're still only asking just over $800.. There is only roughly 40 known and they are going for a couple grand. I think it's still a great price but the $320 would be even better. https://www.denlys.com/inventory/di...cat=5&table=[Inventory - Large Type] I figured they took a quick look Labeled it as 1886 since it does say act of '86 and it was a huge mistake, but it also says silver certificate large brown seal which two pics below is the large brown seal from '86 that is advertised as the star note of '99. So even if you purchased the star note at the $320 price you'll end up receiving the old junky 1886 brown seal. Too good to be true. I'm always looking for people who make mistakes, usually on ebay though.
